Classes for Adults

Adult Dance for Musical Theatre Intensive

This class will focus on what happens beyond the barre! Each class we will learn an “audition-cut” combination. Learning these combinations is not only a great time, but will help improve your ability to pick up choreography at auditions (or class!) and work on the performance value of the choreography instantly! All levels - beginning to advanced - can take this class as everyone is given the same choreography at a dance call!

Ages 14+         Tuesdays         5:30-6:45         May 9-May 23                        Tuition: $35

Instructor: Taylor Hartsfield

Audition Technique Intensive

This class will focus on the art of the audition. Students will leave this intensive with a better

understanding of how to audition well - starting with how to present yourself as a professional

when you walk in the room to choosing the correct material. Students should bring either a

monologue or song (or both) that is memorized (or at least mostly) to use for audition coaching.

This class will also give useful information about headshots/resumes, preparing for an audition,

college/professional auditions, what to expect as a professional actor, etc..…a “biz of the biz” if

you will. The last class, students will do a mock audition and be given feedback.

Ages 14+         Saturdays        9:30-11:00       May 6th -May 27th       Tuition: $60

Instructor: Taylor Hartsfield

Improv for Everyone – Teens-Adult

Improv doesn’t have to be intimidating! This class will be a beginner’s guide to improv -

focusing more on group games rather than scene work. We will learn some useful tools of

improv to help increase creativity and to help leave our inhibitions at the door! Whether you’re a businessman or seasoned actor, improv helps increase the ability to think on your toes, follow your instincts without pause, boost confidence in your day-to-day interactions, and what a fun way to relieve some stress by playing games!

Ages 13+         Fridays            5:00-5:55          May 5-May 26th         Tuition: $40

Instructor: Taylor Hartsfield
