2016-17 School Outreach Program

   

   Working with the Yolo County Superintendent of Schools office, W.O.H. 

   showcases professional and Theatre for Families artists during the school year

   that local schools bring their students, grades K-12, to see for a very small fee

   per attendee. Outreach show attendance is reserved through your child’s

   teacher or resource person in advance with the W.O.H Box Office

Junie B. Jones, the Musical

Junie B. Jones the Musical is a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books brought to life in a genuinely comical and not strictly-for-kids musical. Awaken a young person's desire to read with the sassy little diva Junie B. Jones and her adventures in first grade. Perfect for grades K-5th. Tickets are $5 each.

 

Seussical the Musical, Jr.

Friday, September 30, 2016: 9:30 & 12:30

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Seussical the Musical is a Rising Stars Workshop performed by students ages 7 and up. This show is perfect for K-4th grade audiences. Tickets are $5 each.

 

Disney's Cinderella, Kids

The timeless, “rags to riches” fairy tale becomes a new audience favorite in Disney’s Cinderella KIDS, a musical adaptation of the treasured animated film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true. Cinderella is a Rising Stars Workshop performed by students ages 7 and up. Perfect for K-3rd grade audiences. Tickets are $5 each.

 

The Diary of Anne Frank

Through the story of this one girl, generations have felt the emotional impact of what was lost during the Holocaust. Anne Frank was a spirited, insightful teenager when she and her family took refuge from the Nazis in an Amsterdam attic. Winning a Tony Award for Best Play and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama the show is uplifting and powerful. This show is for grades 6th - high school audiences. The show will run approximately 2 hours. Tickets are $5 each

 

Disney's Mulan, Jr.
Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 9:30 & 12:30

Defying the village matchmaker, Mulan takes up arms and disguises as a boy in order to spare her father from having to serve in the army. Disney’s Mulan, Jr. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor, and the fighting spirit. The score includes such favorites as “Reflection”, Honor to Us All”, “I’ll Make a Man Out of You”. Perfect for K-5th grade audiences. Tickets are $5 each.
