ABOUT THE SHOW
Set in a northern English mining town against the background of the 1984 miners' strike, the show follows eleven-year-old Billy Elliot who unexpectedly discovers a passion for ballet while his family and community face hardship and conflict. Secretly taking dance lessons, Billy must navigate grief, poverty, and rigid expectations as his talent brings both hope and tension to those around him. With the support of his teacher and, eventually, his family and neighbors, Billy pursues an audition for the Royal Ballet School and discovers that the only limitations in life are the ones we place on ourselves.
CONTENT WARNING
This production of Billy Elliott is PG-13. The show includes strong language and explores mature themes such as class struggles, a miners’ strike, bullying, and gender stereotypes. It also contains moments of staged violence, depictions of smoking and drinking, and brief references to sexuality and cross-dressing.

Please note that we will be performing the show unaltered and as licensed.
