Orphans - To Play Age 7-15: 
Sunday, August 16 
  • Group dance audition for all participants: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Vocal Group Auditions (choose either time group)
    • Group 1 - 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. 
    • Group 2 - 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. 

Adults - Ages 16+: 
Sunday, August 16 
  • Group dance audition for all participants: 6:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Individual auditions (by scheduled time slots): 7:00–10:00 p.m.
Monday, August 17 
  • Group dance audition for all participants: 7:00–8:00 p.m.
  • Individual auditions (by scheduled time slots): 8:00–10:00 p.m.

WHAT TO BRING / HOW TO PREPARE

    • Please include any conflicts you have for the rehearsal period (September 13-November 5). No conflicts permitted during tech week or show run,(November 8-29). SEE IMPORTANT DATES BELOW for detailed schedule information*. While we do our best to accommodate, please be aware that conflicts may affect casting.
  • Bring a headshot with a resume (if you have one)
  • Upload a backing track for an extract of  a contemporary Broadway song that best shows off your voice and acting ability. It should be no longer than 1 ½ minutes long. You can upload your backing track here: Audition Track
  • Dress to move & arrive stretched/warmed up. You will be asked to learn and perform a short piece of choreography to demonstrate your dance/movement ability. Only dance shoes, bare feet, or socks are allowed in the studio.
IMPORTANT DATES
  • Rehearsals:   Begin Sunday, September 13. 
    • Rehearsals will generally be Sundays
      1:00 - 5:00 pm and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. (You will only be called to one Sunday time block per week. 1-5 pm slot generally reserved for the orphans.)
    • Monday - Thursday 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. 
    • You may not be called to all rehearsals, but please plan to keep all dates open. 
  • Cast Orientation: Monday, August 31, 7:00-9:00 p.m. 
  • Tech week:   Sunday, November 8 through Thursday, November 12, 2026
  • Performances:  
    • 1st weekend:  Friday and Saturday @ 7:30 p.m., Sunday @ 2:00 p.m.
    • 2nd Weekend:  Thursday and Friday @ 7:30 p.m., Saturday @ 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.,  Sunday @ 2:00 p.m.
    • 3rd Weekend: Friday @ 7:30 p.m., Saturday @ 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Sunday @ 2:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including "Tomorrow."

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

The other girls in the orphanage with Annie. These girls are gritty, neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and potentially loveable. Includes Molly, Kate, Tessie, Pepper, July, and Duffy.

Miss Hannigan
The orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold.

Miss Hannigan's no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.
