“This program is clearly creating a safe and nurturing environment in which the young people
can rely on each other and bring their full selves to the rehearsal room.”

Elevating Young Talent
Through Expert Theatre Training
Dear Broadway Bound Families,
I wanted to share some important news about the upcoming season. After much reflection and discussion, we've made the decision to place Broadway Bound on hiatus for the coming year.
This wasn't a decision we made lightly. Broadway Bound has become a deeply meaningful part of our education program, and it's been an incredible journey watching it grow. But as with all good things, there comes a time when it's important to pause, reflect, and thoughtfully consider what comes next. We believe this is the right moment to take a step back and reimagine what Broadway Bound can become.
Our goal is to redevelop the program in a way that better serves the needs of our advanced students, with a renewed focus on training, technique, and long-term growth. We’re excited about what the future holds, and while it’s hard to hit pause, we’re confident it will allow for something even stronger to emerge.
In the meantime, we have an exciting season ahead with many opportunities for performance and growth. These include:
- Beetlejuice JR, our Fall teen production (auditions August 3+4, sign ups online)
- Newsies JR, our Junior Theatre Festival Troupe production (auditions August 17+18, sign ups online)
- Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop, Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. this Fall (Broadway Bound alums are eligible for this class, just email me to enroll.)
- A new Scene Study Class (details coming soon)
- A wide variety of dance classes
- And audition opportunities in several of our MainStage productions
We’re proud of the work our Broadway Bound students have done and excited about what’s ahead for each of them. Thank you for being part of this program’s journey and for continuing to support the evolution of youth theatre here at Woodland Opera House.
If you have ideas for what you would like Broadway Bound to become, please feel free to email me!
We’ll keep you updated as we begin this new chapter.
