School Outreach Program

Bringing the Arts to Schools,
Inspiring Confidence for Life

Picture
Running successful after-school programs with local districts in Yolo County since 2009.

Our Woodland Opera House School Outreach Program introduces students to the magic of theatre, fostering creativity, confidence, and essential life skills. For many, this is their first experience with the arts—an opportunity to build self-expression, social-emotional growth, and teamwork. Theatre education also strengthens retention and language skills, supporting English Language Arts development and providing non-native speakers with valuable English language experience

Exceptional Teaching Artists, Unmatched Experience

Our teaching artists are carefully selected for both their industry expertise and their dedication to working with young performers. With backgrounds in professional theatre, dance, and music, they bring real-world experience to every class. Just as important, they are passionate educators who understand how to inspire and engage students of all ages. Their ability to connect, adapt, and create a positive learning environment ensures that every child receives high-quality arts education in a supportive and encouraging setting.

Customized Arts Programs for Every School
We offer high-quality musical theatre, acting, and dance programs that can be tailored to fit the unique needs of any school site. Whether integrated into the school day or provided as an after-school E-LOP program, our classes are designed to be flexible. While most programs run 60-90 minutes, we have successfully customized offerings as short as 30 minutes to accommodate school schedules and student needs.

Summer Opportunities
In addition to our school-year programs, we offer engaging summer performing arts experiences that provide students with a creative and enriching way to continue their arts education. These programs range from skill-building intensives to full performance-based workshops, ensuring that students stay inspired and engaged even when school is out.

New! School Musical Pilot Program – Coming Soon!
We are excited to launch a new pilot program for schools looking to produce their own musical! This initiative will provide schools with professional guidance and support in staging a 30-minute or 60-minute production, helping educators bring high-quality theatre experiences to their students while fostering teamwork, confidence, and creativity.
